The Centre for Transfer of Environmentally Oriented Technologies and Innovations in the Field of Inorganic Chemistry (TransMission) funded by the European Union and Republic of Bulgaria, Program PHARE (Contract BG 2005/017-353.10.06/ESC/G/TTO – 09) was established by 25th September, 2007 in the Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
The Project is aimed at establishing a centre where Bulgarian scientists and experts in the field of chemistry will be stimulated to work on applied studies for the needs of the Bulgarian industry and on protecting industrial application of the results of their research.
The Centre will be a mediator between scientific organizations, working teams and individual scientists from BAS and the Higher Educational Institutions, on the one hand, and Bulgarian industrial enterprises (mainly of small and medium size), on the other.

The activities of TransMission are targeted towards two groups:

  • Enterprises (mainly SMEs), currently or potentially adopting innovations in the field of inorganic technologies, from (i) chemical and (ii) other branches of industry;
  • Research groups and individual scientists from IGIC and associated partners.
